Biography

Sara Ghyselinck is a South Bend native with a passion for play and a Holy Cross education. She attended the University of Portland where she earned her Bachelor’s in Political Science and Spanish. It was here where she discovered the impact of an education that focused holistically on student formation and the power of being known by name. Inspired by her time at UP, Sara did a year of service with Mercy Volunteer Corps in Savannah, Georgia, where she worked with the Sisters of Mercy at the Community Center assisting with public benefits, tax preparation, food pantry services, and workforce development. Feeling called to deepen her knowledge, Sara pursued a Master’s of Ministry and Theology from Villanova University with a focus towards Catholic Higher Education. At Villanova, she served as a Graduate Resident Director and a Graduate Assistant in Campus Ministry. Sara spent the past two years as a Hall Director at Saint Mary’s College where she expanded her love and understanding of the impact of a Holy Cross education.
