Biography

Michael calls the south Chicago suburb of New Lenox, Illinois, his home and grew up cheering on the Fighting Irish for as long as he can remember. He graduated from Notre Dame in 2019 in the third cohort of ND Chick Evans Caddie Scholars, studying IT Management, Theology, and Business Analytics. During his time at ND, he was involved in Campus Ministry, the Center for Social Concerns, and interhall sports, worked in the football recruiting office, and served as a Resident Assistant in Siegfried Hall. Upon graduating, he worked for two years in higher education technology consulting based out of Chicago, helping university administrations leverage technology systems more effectively. Feeling called to more intentionally enter into community and relationships, he then transitioned to Notre Dame's ACE Teaching Fellows Masters in Education program, teaching math and theology at Holy Cross High School in Louisville, Kentucky. He also spent time at Holy Cross coaching basketball and track & field, moderating the math and academic teams, and creating and leading retreats, seeking to truly know all aspects of his students and journey with them as they pursued excellence in all areas of their lives. Throughout all of these experiences, Michael was repeatedly struck by the impact that strong communities centered on sacrifice, intentionality, authenticity, and, ultimately, Christ can have on the holistic development of those in the community. During his free time, Michael enjoys exercising, reading, playing Catan, and keeping up with Notre Dame sports.
