Fr. Ralph Haag C.S.C.

Biography

Rev. Ralph Haag, C.S.C., brings warmth, wisdom, and a vibrant spirit to every role he serves. Hailing from the heartland of Omaha, Nebraska, Fr. Ralph’s journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Creighton University, followed by a Master of Divinity from the University of Notre Dame. Ordained as a Holy Cross priest in 2004, his early ministry led him to sunny Phoenix, Arizona, where he served as associate pastor at St. Gregory the Great Parish.

In 2006, Fr. Ralph became rector of the beloved St. Edward’s Hall, creating a legacy of mentorship and community that continues to inspire. By 2012, he expanded his impact as a consultant in University Relations, lending his insight and experience to the Department of Development. Today, Fr. Ralph is a courtside and pitch-side presence. A longtime chaplain for the ND Men’s Basketball team, he now cheers and guides as chaplain for the ND Men’s Soccer team, a role he joyfully embraced in 2022.

Fr. Ralph’s life is a symphony of dedication, faith, and a dash of fun, harmonizing tradition with his ever-present zest for Notre Dame life.
