Rector Training and Professional Development
As the cornerstone of the residential system at Notre Dame, rectors are prepared to assume the roles of administrator, pastor, community builder and University resource through a variety of training and development. Rooted in our Holy Cross values and traditions, rectors receive guidance and information on staff supervision, student development, and emergency response to name just a few areas.
New rectors receive comprehensive training at the beginning of the academic year and throughout the year at regular intervals. All rectors participate in ongoing training, optional workshops and opportunities within Residential Life and throughout the Division of Student Affairs and the University. In addition, regional and national conferences experiences are available each year.
We are committed to training and developing rectors in all areas to best serve our students and to offering numerous opportunities to expand knowledge and interests.
